In June 2008, Mrs. Vanitha Rengaraj, also known as Thaiamma, the founder of Sharanalayam Group of Charitable Institutions, had a vision to create a community of senior citizens, where joy and happiness could thrive resulting in the creation of Preetham. She established Sharanalayam in 2001 with a strong dedication to supporting the underprivileged.
